The Mission
and Vision
In faithfulness to the Lordship
of Christ, Filadelfia Bible College seeks to be 'a Light to
the Nations' (Is. 42:9) by equipping native men and women
with knowledge, skill and passion to revitalize the Church,
and fulfill the 'Great Commission' in the power of the Holy
Spirit.
The vision of the College is to be a leading theological educational
institute in North India imparting the vision of reaching
the nation by training men and women, who are spiritually
vibrant, biblically sound, theologically balanced, Spirit-empowered,
ministry-equipped and culturally sensitive.
The College seeks to produce spiritual leaders, who hear the
voice of God, communicate the Gospel with passion, lead with
authority, minister with compassion, and convey the resurrection
power of hope.
The College endeavours to integrate biblical and theological
training with practical skills essential for effective witness
and ministry.
The College's concern is to cultivate Christian life and experience,
to strengthen students' commitment to Christ and to have a
close and developing relationship with God.
The College attempts to provide a forum for discussion, research,
and publication that seeks to address the aspirations, needs
and challenges of the context and culture.
The open Bible, the written Word of God is the centre of our
study and source of our message. It is the foundation on which
the College functions. It draws from the Word of God its purpose,
aims and objectives to be 'A Light to the Nations'. The Institution
is committed to reach the unreached people groups of India.
That is why it chose its motto as 'A Light to the Nations'.
This phrase is found in Is. 42:6 as well as in Act. 13:47-48.
The words of Matthew, 'The people who sat in darkness have
seen a great light' (4:16) and of Luke, 'A light to bring
revelation to the Gentiles' (2:32) also should become a reality
in our mother land. The Institution's vision to be 'A Light
to the Nations' is engraved in the original languages, both
Hebrew and Greek, in the logo. The fire stands for the Pentecostal
heritage, convictions and testimony.
